We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

What information we collect and why

1. Order fulfilment

What we collect: name, delivery address, email address, phone number, and order details.

Legal basis: necessary to perform our contract with you (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).

Retention: seven years from the date of the transaction, to meet our obligations under the Companies Act 2006 and HMRC requirements.

2. Marketing emails

What we collect: your email address and any preferences you share with us.

Legal basis: your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). We only send marketing emails if you have asked us to.

Retention: until you unsubscribe. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.

3. Website analytics

What we collect: pages visited, time on site, traffic source, and approximate location at country or city level. This data is aggregated and we cannot identify individual visitors from it.

Legal basis: legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We use this data only to improve the website.

Retention: 26 months, in line with standard analytics practice.

4. Contact and enquiries

What we collect: your name, email address, and the content of your message.

Legal basis: legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in responding to you.

Retention: two years from your last contact with us.

Who we share your information with

We share data with third parties only where necessary to operate our business. We do not sell your data.

  • Klaviyo (email marketing platform, USA). We use Klaviyo to send marketing emails. Klaviyo is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and operates under appropriate UK data transfer safeguards. See Klaviyo's privacy notice.
  • SiteGround (website hosting, EU). Our website and data are hosted on servers within the European Economic Area.
  • Meta (Instagram and Facebook). If you interact with our social media pages, Meta's own privacy policy applies to that activity.
  • Trustindex. Used to display Google reviews on our website. No personal data you submit to us is shared with Trustindex.
  • Smash Balloon. Used to display our Instagram feed. No personal data you submit to us is shared with Smash Balloon.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected
  • Have your data erased in certain circumstances
  • Restrict how we process your data
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would be happy to try to resolve any concern directly first.
